Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that will take place on December 1st, 2020. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This year we have decided to join the movement in the best way we know how - by giving the gift of neuroscience education.
Since 2010, our success in bringing neuroscience education to the community has been made possible thanks to people just like you. With your generous contributions, we are able to truly make a difference. We are grateful for any help you can provide as we continue our work to change lives for the better.
Over the years, we have offered our community engaging and interactive neuroscience programs free of charge. We take pride in meeting the community where they are, and although this year looked different, rest assured our efforts have continued. We have been able to stay connected with students and community groups remotely, and after talking with local teachers we devised a new program - The Brain Boxes.
The Brain Boxes are designed for students to use independently, and include all information and materials needed for 10 exciting neuroscience and mindfulness activities! Using the boxes students go on a guided trip around the brain, with stops at each location to learn and complete an activity. To assure accessibility and to counter 'zoom fatigue', the entire box can be completed with zero screen time.
Our goal is to distribute at least 200 Brain Boxes to students in our community, and we need your help!
Please consider giving the gift of neuroscience with us, by making a tax deductible donation today!
Here's how far your donation will go:
$10 - Sponsor a Brain Box!
$20 - Sponsor TWO Brain Boxes!
$50 - Sponsor FIVE Brain Boxes!
$100 - Sponsor TEN Brain Boxes!
$250 - Sponsor an entire classroom, including Brain Boxes and teacher guides.
Brain Boxes will be delivered directly to schools for distribution at the beginning of the new year.
